Shelter Island wildlife control tip of the month:

Well, a few weeks later (end of Fall) as I am putting my son to Shelter Island animal control bed...I hear the same sounds in the wall again!! I called him immediately. At the very end of our fall it got very cold. We had a couple of mice that found their way in our house. He said that it was probably mice in the attic and more than likely not Bats. Well, of course I don't want mice either... Shelter Island animal controlbut we really didn't think it was mice...it was exactly what we had heard in the walls upstairs when it was bats in the attic the previous winter. He came over and gave us some mouse traps for the Shelter Island pest control little critters down stairs. We caught the mice and haven't seen any since...or any evidence of them. (He told us during our previous exclusion that we would be very unlikely candidates for any type of rodent Shelter Island pest control infestation. He said we keep our house far too clean.)

So, now we are at the middle of winter. It has been a very cold winter, but yesterday midday it warmed up some outside. As I was upstairs with my children I heard with 100% clarity rustling sounds in the knee wall of our upstairs loft (an area that is inaccessible Shelter Island wildlife removal when doing an attic inspection). I also heard some sort of squeaking sounds as well. It went on for about 20 seconds. My husband informed me that he has been hearing the same sounds. Once he hit the wall to see if it would Shelter Island wildlife removal stop (thinking that if it's a mouse it would freeze or get really quiet). It just continued on.

The wildlife guy come over yesterday and inspected the attic again. He said he definitely heard squeaking noises but saw no guano...so he was certain it was mice. He inspected the outside of the house to see if he could see any evidence of bat activity. He said that he noticed a metal foundation Shelter Island animal trapping vent that he "missed" before that could be a possible entry point for bats or mice. He said he would come back in a couple of days and drill a hole in our knee wall so that he could use his video scope to inspect and see what's Shelter Island animal trapping behind the wall. Before drilling he did another inspection of the attic area that he has access to. He came out and said he saw 2 new guano droppings that he didn't see yesterday. He gave us the news...we still have bats. At this Shelter Island exterminator point, if a promise of no bats can be made... I am ready to sell the house and move. Even though it was only $800, we can't pay that every time the job isn't completed and the bat finds another hole to crawl in that wasn't Shelter Island exterminator caught the first time around.
